Chief Executive Officer: John Manners-Bell
John Manners-Bell, Honorary Visiting Professor at London Metropolitan University, started his working life as an operations manager in a freight forwarding and road haulage company based in the UK. Prior to establishing Transport Intelligence, he worked as an analyst in consultancies specialising in international trade, transport and logistics. He also spent a number of years as European marketing manager for UPS Supply Chain Solutions working at locations across Europe including France, Netherlands and Germany. He holds an MSc in Transport Planning and Management from University of Westminster and is an Associate of King's College London. He is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport and Chair of the Supply Chain and Logistics Global Advisory Council of the World Economic Forum. John has travelled widely, undertaking research and speaking at conferences in countries including China, Hong Kong, India, Japan as well as in the Middle East, USA and extensively throughout Europe. He is regularly quoted in the international and trade media as well as on radio and television.
Head of Consultancy: Joel Ray
Joel's career has been dedicated to strategic consultancy and corporate development in the logistics industry, including a period as strategic manager with a European Post Office. Joel has particular expertise in distribution property, express logistics and assisting different vertical sectors in developing their logistics strategies. He has undertaken extensive travel and research in the Middle East, India and Asia.
Commercial Director: Sarah Smith
Sarah is has an extensive background in sales and marketing with over 14 years experience. Sarah joined Ti in 2006 and has been instrumental in the growth of the company and oversees all aspects of sales, marketing and events.
Senior Analyst: Cathy Roberson
Cathy is an experienced professional in knowledge management, combining an in-depth understanding of the supply chain industry with extensive market intelligence skills. Before being appointed Ti's Senior Analyst she spent several years at UPS Supply Chain Solutions as a marketing analyst within the Contract Logistics and Freight Forwarding groups.
Head of Operations & Senior Analyst, Asia: Mike King
Mike grew up as an integral part of his family's international forwarding and trucking business before going on to become an award-winning shipping, air freight and supply chain journalist and analyst. He has spent much of the last decade building up his extensive knowledge of logistics markets in Asia while contributing to The Economist, Seatrade Asia, Journal of Commerce, Lloyd's Loading List, and The Naval Architect. As well as leading Ti's Asian operations and analysis, Mike continues to be a regular contributor to a wide range of industry-leading publications.
Senior Analyst: Thomas Cullen
Thomas is a widely respected writer and has been analyzing the global logistics market for over 15 years. He has edited a number of international publications and written for most of the leading trade publications in Europe. He has written several in-depth reports on a variety of subjects including Automotive and Chemical logistics.
Head of Research: Lilith Gardiner
After graduating from the University of the West of England with a 2:1 in English Literature and Language, Lilith accepted a position as a Researcher at Ti. As a researcher she worked as part of the team building and updating Ti’s GSCi knowledge portal. After a few years her role developed into Report Manager: in this role she oversaw Ti’s report output. Her role has progressed once more and Lilith now holds the position of Head of Research for Ti, managing the upkeep and development of GSCi as well as continuing to manage report output.
