Beumer appoints Martin Mossinkoff as Global Director of Logistics Systems

The Beumer Group has appointed Martin Mossinkoff as global director of the "Logistics Systems" segment of the Group, which is part of the sortation and distribution technology division.
This position was created in response to the concentration and extension of competence between Beumer and Crisplant. Mossinkoff has managerial responsibility for the further development of the product portfolio and the worldwide acquisition of projects in the CEP, mail-order and retail distribution sectors.
Mossinkoff previously worked as a sales manager for various global companies. Before joining Beumer, he was in charge of the international business activities of a direct competitor in the airport sector.
Axel Marschall to head up sales at DB Schenker Rail

Axel Marschall is to assume the management responsibility for Sales at the European DB Schenker Rail Group and will become the Member of the Board of Management of DB Schenker Rail Deutschland AG responsible for Sales as of February 1, 2012.
Marschall has performed this function on a provisional basis since the departure of Karsten Sachsenröder in November of last year. Marschall was previously the head of the Automotive Industry Sector in rail freight and has been the CEO of DB Schenker Rail Automotive GmbH since 2009.
"Axel Marschall and his colleagues transformed the Automotive Industry Sector at DB Schenker Rail into the largest and most powerful automobile logistics services provider in rail transport in Europe and developed successful international solutions together with customers. He has the expertise we need for the expansion of our European sales," said Karl-Friedrich Rausch, Member of the Board of Management of DB Mobility Logistics AG responsible for Transportation and Logistics and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DB Schenker Rail GmbH.
Marschall joined Deutsche Bahn in 1999 and has held various management positions ever since. In 2005, Marschall was appointed Head of Strategy in the Transportation and Logistics Division; he switched to the Automotive Industry Sector in 2009.
DSV appoint Gary Kioussis to newly created role

DSV Road Limited has appointed Gary Kioussis to the newly created role of Sales Manager, Southern Area.
This position has been created after the recent recruitment of a number of graduates to the sales team to continue the development of new business and provide a greater overview of performance to central management.
Gary's duties will include regularly meeting the sales team to discuss future prospects while also building strong working relationships with DSV's current and future clients.
He has been with DSV for 30 years and has worked for the company in a variety of positions, most recently as Finance Manager.
Chris Malyon, DSV Road, Director Sales and Marketing, said: "Gary has extensive knowledge of DSV and knows the company and the industry inside out. I'm sure his previous managerial experience will prove invaluable to our continually expanding sales division."
CEVA appoints new Managing Director for Iberia

CEVA Logistics has appointed Marco Galbusera as Managing Director for its operations in Iberia. Galbusera, who was previously Facility Management and Procurement Director for the Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa region, located in Milan, is responsible for managing CEVA's strategy, operations and business growth in the Iberian market.
Galbusera has broad experience in the logistics and transportation sector and has worked for CEVA since 2003, when he was Technical Services and Real Estate Director in Southern Europe, Middle East and Africa, gaining additional responsibility for Security in 2004 and Procurement in 2006.
Gianfranco Sgro, President of CEVA, Southern Europe Middle East and Africa, said: "We are delighted to appoint Marco as our new Managing Director in Iberia, as he brings strong leadership that will contribute to the development of our business and team in Spain and Portugal. Damco strengthens North Asia leadership with two appointments

Damco has appointed two new senior executives to lead the company's drive for strategic growth in the North Asia region. The company has appointed Henriette Hallberg Thygesen as Chief Executive Officer of the North Asia Region and Richard Morgan as Chief Commercial Officer for the region. Both appointments went into effect on January 2, 2012.
Henriette Hallberg Thygesen has been with the A.P.Moller-Maersk Group for 16 years, primarily working within the field of logistics and comes most recently from a role as global Chief Process Officer for Damco. Earlier in her career, Thygesen also worked in China both as Shanghai Branch Manager of then Maersk Logistics (now Damco) and later as Operations Manager for the Greater China Area.
"North Asia is a key territory for Damco and I am very pleased that Henriette has agreed to take the position as CEO. It is a challenging task as our overall growth ambition is high, but I have no doubt that Henriette is the right person for the task", said Rolf Habben-Jansen, CEO of Damco.
Henriette replaces Steffen Schiottz-Christensen who will remain in the North Asia region as Vice President & Head of Airfreight for the recently acquired New Times International Transport Service Co. Ltd. (NTS).
Reporting directly to new CEO, Richard Morgan will be responsible for the overall commercial and business development activities in the region.
Morgan comes from the position of Chief Commercial Officer in the UK and Ireland and has had other senior supply chain management posts since joining A.P. Moller-Maersk Group in 2003.
"It's a great opportunity to be part of a fast growing region which offers a full spectrum of logistics and supply chain services. I am looking forward to working with my colleagues in the region to further strengthen our commercial performance and drive additional value for our customers across all of our products" said Morgan on his new appointment.
YRC Worldwide appoints Michelle Russell as General Counsel and Secretary

YRC Worldwide has announced that Michelle A. Russell has been appointed the company's executive vice president, general counsel and secretary effective February 13, 2012. Russell recently served as general counsel at Spirit AeroSystems.

Previously, Russell was senior vice president and general counsel at Spirit AeroSystems. Prior to holding that position, she served in a variety of roles and ultimately became vice president — legal and assistant general counsel at YRC Worldwide during her twelve-year original tenure with the company.
Brambles appoints Doug Duncan as Non-executive Director

Brambles has announced the appointment of Doug Duncan as a Non-executive Director, the company said he will bring substantial US business and international transport and logistics experience to the company's Board.
Brambles Chairman Graham Kraehe said: "We are delighted Doug has joined us. As the former President & CEO of FedEx Freight, he has extensive experience that is relevant to Brambles. His appointment, together with those of Tahira Hassan and David Gosnell last month, completes the process commenced by the Board in early 2011 to enhance the diversity and international supply chain, logistics and fast-moving consumer goods skills, knowledge and experience available to the Brambles Board."
Duncan's role as President & CEO of FedEx Freight from 2001 to 2010, when he retired, was the culmination of a career in the transport and logistics industry over 30 years. Prior to that role, he spent more than 20 years with the company that ultimately became Viking Freight, where he held senior executive roles including President & CEO from 1998 to 2001, when FedEx acquired Viking.
Duncan's appointment takes effect immediately and he will offer himself for election to Brambles Board at the company's next AGM in October 2012.
Hoelting named UPS Freight Sales Senior Vice President

Paul Hoelting, the vice president of corporate business development for UPS Freight, has been promoted to the position of senior vice president of sales. Hoelting will succeed the retiring John Fain.
Hoelting's more than two decades of experience in transportation began when he joined Union Pacific (UP) in 1990. Hoelting moved to Overnite Transportation (now UPS Freight) in 1993 when he accepted an assignment with the Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) carrier, which was then owned by UP. Since then, Hoelting has held various positions throughout the company, up to and including his most recent assignments of vice president of finance and accounting and vice president of business development.
"Paul's experiences with rail, LTL, Truckload (TL) and small package operations represent an expertise in today's multi-modal environment that is invaluable to customers seeking solutions to their logistics needs," said UPS Freight President Jack Holmes.
DCT Gdansk increases number of Chief Officers

As Deep-sea Container Terminal (DCT) Gdansk prepares for its next major expansion phase, it has announced two new members of its senior management team.Jean-Jacques Moyson and Lukasz Meissner have joined the company as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Financial Officer respectively.
Jean-Jacques Moyson has been commercial director of Noord Natie in Antwerp for over 25 years, and following its merger with Hesse Natie and purchase by PSA International, became the director of Sales & Marketing of PSA HNN.
Lukasz Meissner has 15 years professional experience in Finance, most recently as CFO of the Raben Group in Poland.

"DCT Gdansk will initiate a large scale expansion programme to accommodate the rapidly growing demand for direct calls into the Baltic Sea. Rhys Davies Freight Logistics to expand freight forwarding division

Gary Phillips, Commercial Manager of Rhys Davies Freight Logistics has taken over responsibility for the company's Freight Forwarding Division, with a brief to significantly expand its operations during the next two years.
"Surprisingly many of our customers are not aware that we have a worldwide logistics division," said Phillips. "I'll be working hard to put that right during the next few months and we'll be launching a new marketing campaign in February to get the message out there.
"My aim is to significantly increase the turnover of the division within the next twelve months. It's a tall order, but I'm confident that when companies see what we have to offer in terms of international expertise and technology, we will win their business."
