Practice Leader: David BagshawDavid is a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds an MSc Degree from the University of Warwick in Management Science and Business Studies. His early career was in accounting practice employed by a major firm in the City of London. He then moved into industry and commerce where he carried out a variety of line and staff roles, including spells as Chief Accountant, Company Secretary, Head of Planning and Finance Director in FT 100 companies. More recently, David has spent a significant period advising on mergers and acquisitions in the freight forwarding sector. He has also conducted various market and product development projects in Europe and the United States. These have included market entry studies, detailed competitor analyses and providing strategic advice to freight forwarders seeking to increase their presence in various geographic locations. David is a member of two specialist faculties of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, and also served on the Financial Management Committee. He has published several articles and a case study in professional journals.
